I came to Canada to visit some family, and they recommended this place to me. I wasn't thinking too much about this place since it's on the smaller side (and in California, there's a lot of sushi places), but it's one of those mom and pop restaurants that are like rare treasures. Normally a restaurant has one specialty but this place doesn't because everything is exceptionally delicious.
My favorite sashimi, salmon, was brought out in big, fat, mouthwatering chunks. The fresh, tender, fatty chunks made me believe that the fish was swimming in my mouth.
Also, when you think nigiri, you probably don't care too much about the rice, but the rice was perfectly seasoned and even yummy by itself.
Did I mention that the wasabi is homemade?!
The chicken karrage was very light, crispy, and the batter had hints of ginger and pepper that mixed well with the smooth and creamy honey mustard sauce.
I normally like yakisoba, but this yakisoba was clearly different than the ones I tasted before because it wasn't overpowering with heavy salt, but you could taste the deep umami flavor backing up the springy noodles.
Then came the shrimp tempura. Light, airy coating with perfectly cooked shrimp.
Even the green tea was good...
If our group had more room in our stomach, we would have ordered more, but it just makes me want to keep coming back to try everything on the menu. -

Finally after years of trying to get here i was able to stop in today for a quick sushi lunch. Served by sweet woman that put up with my indecisiveness...it gets worst when im hangry.
Ended up with their Cali roll combo which was California and dynamite rolls and a miso soup. 13 bucks free tax and tip? Yes pls!
Soup came nice and hot from the powder mix similar to most sushi restaurants.
The sushi came out and shrimp was nice and hot and avocado thick and fresh!)
Enjoyed the rice to topping ratio and the quiet seating.
Will order on uber eats or drop in again for their great prices and delish rolls. Wanna try some of their creative rolls next time! -

Really great sushi and good service. I got the salmon mania which comes with miso soup. The fish was really fresh and the slice of sashimi really thick. Everything was so good. Good menu with variety of rolls, bento boxes and platters. The owner spoke little English but was friendly.

This place's ownership had changed. I went there once after, and was quite disappointed. The warm welcome that I was use to is gone, the place has been rearranged to the point you can't see the kitchen clearly. The food is like the usual quick and go sushi place... the elderly couple doesn't do casual talk and just serve your order. The "neighborhood" feel is gone, sadly.
